Accreditation Fee

The United Accreditation Foundation (UAF) is an independent, not-for-profit organization. We apply a consistent fee structure for all Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs) seeking accreditation. The estimated charges vary based on the scope of accreditation requested.

The Accreditation Fee consists of the following components:

Application Fee:USD 5,000 for the first accreditation scheme and USD 2,000 for each subsequent scheme. This fee also covers document review man-days.

Assessment Fee:USD 1,500 per man-day, based on an eight-hour day.

The total fee is determined by several factors, including:

Key locations applied

Additional locations applied

Number of sites from which the CAB operates

Technical scopes applied

Number of countries where the CAB intends to operate

Number of witnesses required as per IAF MD requirements (for Management Systems CABs)

Number of schemes applied (applicable for certification of persons)

Number of clusters applied as per UAF CAB-IB (applicable for IBs)

Testing Methods and Sites applied (applicable for Testing Labs)

After receiving the completed applications, UAF prepares and provides a detailed fee estimate for the complete accreditation cycle to CABs. This estimate also includes the applicable Annual Fee and Annual Certificate Fee (for Management Systems Certificates only). The accreditation process begins once the CAB reviews and confirms the estimated charges.
